Outside the research

More about me

Outside of research and academics, I enjoy spending time outdoors and learning skills that require patience, balance, and continuous practice. Figure skating and hiking have become two of my favorite ways to explore movement and the world around me.

Figure Skating

Figure skating

Figure skating is one of my favorite sports. I enjoy the combination of balance, movement, technical precision, and the sense of progression that comes from mastering a new skill. I am currently working on one-foot slaloms, backward crossovers, edge control, and gradually progressing toward turns and more advanced footwork.

Hiking

Hiking gives me a different sense of exploration. I enjoy long walks through mountains and open landscapes, where the pace is slower and there is time to notice changes in terrain, weather, light, and perspective. For me, hiking is both physical training and a way to step away from screens, reset, and experience places more directly.
