Research Focus
Orbits in hydro vs. DMO simulations
Built an end-to-end pipeline to match hosts/satellites and track orbits from infall to coalescence. We find baryons drive more radial trajectories and shift collision-angle distributions toward larger values for massive hosts—implications for stellar halos and streams.
Viscoelastic convection (FENE-P)
Implemented/validated OpenFOAM solvers for coupled Navier–Stokes & polymer stress; mapped how elasticity reshapes boundary layers and heat transport; emphasized convergence, diagnostics, and artifact rejection.
